My little brother had one of his buddies come by last week, and we (mom and I) were horrified by the imagery on his t-shirt – the only way to describe it is, disgusting. I’m no prude, this was just terrible, period!
It got me thinking about kids as young as my brother being exposed to negative slogans – I guess I can’t stop it, which is sad because some of this stuff should be banned.
Anyway, I did some research to see if there are alternatives out there, i.e. t-shirts with a retro / vintage vibe that aren’t offensive, and yet still funny. If you look hard enough there are some good options.
One of the better ones I came across was Wonderpunk Vintage T-Shirts. Their stuff is still edgy and cool, but not crass and downright offensive. I’ve signed up, think I’ll put myself down for the Loggers Society one, neat!
