- Learn to trust yourself – Being cruelly honest with yourself is not easy. It takes practice, but having the bricks to cut your own head off is what it takes to keep from lying to yourself. It seems simple, but mastering yourself is the most difficult path to righteousness.
- Get ahead of the game – Being proactive is all about being three steps ahead. If you can predict your opponent, then they are already beaten. Once your opponent notices that they are behind the curve, they might decide to join the winning team…yours.
- Challenge yourself – Gaining confidence is a lifelong pursuit based on how well you are able to obtain, and overcome challenges. Take on difficult responsibilities, learn skills which are difficult to master and test your character in challenging situations.
- Practice – Get a hip-hop instrumental and make up your own rap song about what you are planning to make for dinner. Get a real thesaurus and read it like a story out loud to your dog. Join toastmasters and participate in their luncheons. Watch confident speakers and imitate their gestures and mannerisms. Go out in public and start random conversations with people until you are comfortable and are getting positive feedback.

As you improve and develop, communicating will become so natural to you, that standing in front of a crowd of people will seem as easy and normal as talking to yourself on an empty street corner.
